Recently, Agus Joyo Sutono, a contract-based government teacher at SD Dua Jati Kulon in Jati District, Kudus Regency, shared his appreciation for the improvements in the distribution of the Teacher Professional Allowance (TPG) under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. With over twenty years of teaching experience, Agus emphasized that the disbursement of TPG has become more efficient, accurate, and transparent, benefiting teachers nationwide.
Beginning his teaching career in 2003 and officially becoming a PPPK teacher in 2023, Agus considers his professional journey a significant milestone in terms of recognition and motivation to enhance his teaching skills. Despite receiving TPG since 2011, it was only this year that he noticed a substantial enhancement in the distribution process due to direct central transfers to teachers’ accounts, streamlining the overall procedure.
For Agus, TPG represents more than just a financial incentive; it symbolizes trust and state support for the teaching profession. He commended the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and President Prabowo for implementing policies that simplify the distribution process. Apart from benefiting his family, Agus also uses TPG to further his education, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in primary school education.
Furthermore, Agus demonstrates solidarity by assisting non-civil servant teaching staff and contributing to school activities using a portion of his TPG allowance. He envisions the new policy as a long-term standard to support the welfare and professional growth of dedicated teachers, hoping that TPG will continue to empower teachers and contribute to a brighter future for Indonesia.
