Speaking during a video conference on renewable energy development and oil production expansion in East Java, Prabowo underscored Indonesia’s ability to efficiently produce energy and streamline logistics chains, ultimately reducing costs.
Highlighting the importance of energy independence in Indonesia’s quest for national sovereignty, President Prabowo unveiled the government’s plan to launch 55 new renewable energy projects, including geothermal power plants, aimed at delivering clean, reliable, and sustainable energy throughout the islands.
Acknowledging the collective effort of various ministries, regulatory bodies, and energy companies like Medco Energi and ExxonMobil in supporting Indonesia’s energy transition, Prabowo emphasized the significance of renewable energy, particularly solar power, in ensuring communities’ energy self-sufficiency across the nation.
