President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Singapore for the National Day celebrations on August 9. The presence of Indonesians living in the city-state added to the patriotic atmosphere, especially with Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day approaching on August 17.
Indonesian and Singaporean flags were proudly displayed as members of the diaspora, Indonesian citizens, and students gathered in the hotel lobby to greet the President with cheers and applause. Cindy Claresta, representing the Indonesian community in Singapore, expressed her heartfelt wishes for Indonesia’s future.
She highlighted the importance of continued success, rapid growth, and advancements in education for Indonesia. Cindy also acknowledged the achievements made by Indonesia in the past year, emphasizing the need for new talents to emerge towards the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
