President Prabowo Subianto recently had a meeting with former President Joko Widodo at his home in Solo to update him on his state visits to various countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the meeting, Prabowo highlighted the breakthroughs made during the international tour, particularly in negotiations for the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the European Union, after a decade of discussions. Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence and was warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting, characterized as friendly and informal, covered current issues and key points from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour, including productive outcomes from the visit to Belarus. Prabowo emphasized Indonesia’s strong international position and commitment to neutrality and peaceful cooperation, stating that the country is respected globally for its non-aligned status and friendly relations with all nations. The meeting with Jokowi also included discussions with State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo.
