The government recently launched the Free Health Check in Schools (CKG Sekolah) program, aiming to provide early health screenings directly at schools to detect potential health issues among students. This initiative ensures timely intervention in case of health problems. Hasan Nasbi, from the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), emphasized the importance of early detection during a visit to SMA 6 South Tangerang. The program covers all school levels, offering free health checks to students, including assessments of various health aspects. The goal is not only to identify health issues early but also to educate students about maintaining healthy habits like proper dental care and nutrition. The program also aims to instill a culture of preventive care and healthy lifestyles in students and the general public. Asnawi Abdullah from the Ministry of Health emphasized the role of schools in building a foundation of healthy behaviors from a young age. The hope is that the health habits instilled in students will continue into adulthood. Students participating in the program, like tenth-grader Aryo Gustian Wisesa, expressed excitement and positivity about the health screening. Through the CKG in schools program, the government strives to promote a culture of health and wellness from an early age, fostering a healthier national community for the future.
