President Prabowo Subianto has always shown a deep connection and support for farmers, as stated by Dedek Prayudi from the Presidential Communication Office (PCO). This strong bond can be traced back to significant moments in Prabowo’s life, including his time as a military officer and his leadership of the Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI). Recently, during a corn harvest event in Jenggalu Village, Bengkulu Province, Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasized the importance of the Food Security Program in reducing Indonesia’s reliance on foreign food supplies. The program aims to increase food production capacity and motivate farmers by providing subsidized fertilizers, pesticides, and agricultural machinery. Government officials, including Kelik Budianan from the National Food Agency (Pusdatin Bapanas), are working to support this initiative by coordinating with agencies like the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) to absorb farmers’ harvests and integrate supply chains for better pricing and market conditions. Efforts are also being made to streamline administrative processes to improve access to subsidized fertilizers and enhance overall agricultural productivity. The goal is not only to increase outputs but also to ensure the well-being and happiness of farmers in the community. This collaborative approach involving various stakeholders and government support reflects President Prabowo’s commitment to strengthening food security and empowering farmers across Indonesia.
